The 12 Duties of a CEO will give those seeking dynamic, exponential success and achievement (as portrayed in the classic Think and Grow Rich) a much better roadmap to implementation and understanding than currently exists. In fact, few understand much at all about building the intangible, dynamic, exponential, individual (CEO of ourselves) success versus the opposite business school approach of an individual managing and maintaining the static, linear, conventional form of advancement that feeds the masses to the business, government and societal demands. The two opposing approaches require different thinking, priorities and actions. There’s a lot of people that will help push for your conventional enslavement success for them, while nearly no one is interested in pushing for your independent success. The dynamic success principles and practices also have the obstacles of being so vague and intangible that they are very difficult for us to implement. Few do! Neither do they work until we can improve our thinking, habits and actions “enough”. Not easy! A person seeking this dynamic success is forced to be very proactive, do it alone. While those seeking conventional advancement have much clearer enslaving tangible duties to do, the “higher ups” will decide to help push forward the people they see as being beneficial to them. After hearing of these obstacles to independent success, why do so many seek it? For myself, I wanted to be in control of my own destiny instead of being controlled by bureaucrats. In military terms, I wanted to be great like Napoleon, Caesar, Alexander the Great, Hannibal, Sun Tse (Art of War) instead of like most of the political, conventional, successful peace time generals that have proven incompetent in wars. Maybe you do, too? Oh, by the way, dynamic success thinking produces 16 times (80/20 principle) the results of conventional thinking and practices when and if we’re able to transform ourselves to it. Maybe, you also seek this dynamic independent form of success. I wish that I would have had this much more tangible, comprehensive, doable and effective roadmap to guide me years ago.

I also believe that a great need exists to help build better leaders and achievers, and The 12 Duties of a CEO will help do just that.

1. The 12 Duties of a CEO uniquely provides a better roadmap to implement the Universal Success Principles as outlined in Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and other such great books. The problem I faced on these success principles were that they are so vague, intangible and hard to implement that few do, and the ones that do seemingly struggle much, like I did. Also, the “right” principles hardly work unless we get our thinking, focus, actions and habits right, while also tying them into the “right” tangible duties, goals and implementation methods. In other words, we have to improve and transform ourselves before these principles will work for us. These 12 CEO duties are unique in that the duties are far more tangible and easier to do and master than working on the intangible principles, and they represent the few right things to do that will transform ourselves to mastery.

2. Top performance also requires us to focus on implementing the few best business and leadership practices that strongly correlate to success. There are a vast number of other business, management, sales, marketing, accounting and leadership practices that the CEO (us) shouldn’t spend the time to focus on. I know, as I tried. Hardly anyone knows which few CEO practices to master, or how to best implement these. 3. If it is dynamic success “mastery” that we seek, it requires us tying the success principles, “right” practices, thinking, leadership, personal growth and implementation all together. They all need to work together in harmony to be most effective. For instance, the best practices and success principles won’t work much for you without you developing the right thinking, habits, leadership and personal growth. Performing the 12 more tangible duties of a CEO will help tie all of this together into doing. I and others have found that we only learn by doing and by our mistakes. These unique set of duties are by far the best way I’ve ever seen to get into the right doing and thinking needed for mastery, and making smarter mistakes. Keep in mind that all business practices can be learned. It may seem too complex and difficult to many, but not achieving lasts forever and is no picnic. For the highly educated, sophisticated, linear, conventional thinking professional like I started out, it will seem too simple. However, there is great genius in simplicity.

4. The 12 Duties of a CEO addresses the most difficult obstacles of obtaining dynamic, exponential success, which are our transformation of thinking (brain), and the doing and focusing on what really works for our success. The duties are comprehensive such that they address essentially all of what is important and works intangibly. Of course, each duty actually contains several sub-duties to cover each major area. We will also have to learn and perform some linear, conventional duties to get by, but that’s not in the 12 duties scope.
