About the Book
Brookstone School had a problem. It was infested with bullies who picked on the kids. The bullies were in the classrooms, on the playground, in the hall, on the buses, and in the coatrooms. They made fun of kids, gossiped, and pushed kids around. No one could stop the bullies. No one stood up to them.
But one day, Brookstone School had had enough, and it decided to get tough on bullies. The school encouraged all of the kids to stand up for each other because there is power in numbers. Soon, the bullies learned the school was no longer their land.
A rhyming picture book for children, The Horrible Beasts at Brookstone School, demonstrates how a simple, five-step plan can help children learn to deal with and stand up to bullies.
