About the Book
What happens when a teacher harms a student? What does a young girl do when a male family member-someone she trusts assails her? Girls are often warned against strangers, but loved ones can sometimes perpetrate acts within families.
The world over, when girls are sexualized, they feel as though there is nowhere to turn-but that is far from true. Young girls have voices just as loud and important as adults. It’s a matter of using that voice and finding someone who cares. Someone who will listen. Someone who will speak loudly on their behalf.
Who Will Speak for Me? is a myriad of scenarios that give voice to girls caught in webs of abuse. Its intent is to educate them about the importance of keeping safe, recognizing unsafe situations, identifying advocates, and speaking up against perpetrators and enablers. Be an advocate. Speak up...and keep our girls safe.
