Unchanging Whys

The doorbell rang. “Come in. I have your money in here.” China yelled through the closed door. The door slowly opened. China only heard one set of footsteps. She looked up and Dirty was alone.
“Where is Maura and Ray Ray?” China asked nervously.
“What are you scared of the big bad wolf? They are at the hotel. We can do this alone. Where my money?” Dirty asked.
“I want to be clear why you are telling me to pay you all this money. I did not do anything. You have no reason to threaten and harass me like this.” China said.
“It’s simple, you caused my money to stop coming in and you owe me with interest. So pay up.” Dirty demanded.
“How did I stop your money from coming in? What money are you talking about Dirty?” China said.
“You know good and well what money I’m talking about. You are not seventeen any more. Now pay up before this gets real ugly.” Dirty said.
“What would happen to me if I don’t pay you the money you are asking me for?” China asked.
Dirty pulled the gun out of his coat pocket and waved it, and said, “Guess.”
“Well, I had a problem getting all the money. It is a lot. I have some, just to buy me a little more time to come up with the rest.” China picked up an envelope off the table and handed it to Dirty.
“Girl, what the hell is this?” Dirty yelled as he threw the money on the floor. “This ain’t no damn show and tell. I gave yo ass a whole week to get my money. Now where is it?”
“I told you I need more time. It is not easy to get $100,000.” China replied as she began to move around the coffee table to create distance.
She could tell that Dirty was extremely upset. The plan was not going so well. She expected Maura and Ray Ray to be with him, so that she was not be alone with the crazy.
“So, you want a little more time? Okay, I will give you a little more time. That will cost you. Get over her and pay for the extension.” Dirty said, holding the gun, taking off his coat, and unbuckling his pants.
“I just need one more week Dirty, please. I promise I will have all of you money. I promise." China began to cry.
They were circling around the coffee table. Dirty threw the coffee table over and grabbed China. He threw her on the floor. She tried to fight Dirty off, but he was too strong. Dirty pulled her skirt up, striped her panties down and brutally tried to go inside China. China cried and screamed for him to stop. China thought about the knives she had planted throughout the house the week before. There just happened to be one under the couch right where China lay. She reached, grabbed the knife and quickly stabbed Dirty in the neck while his face was hovered over hers. His movement halted. Blood gushed out of his neck quickly. The gun fell to the floor. Dirty’s whole body flopped on top of China’s.
