Bandit’s Bad Day

About the Book

Bandit is having a bad day. When he wakes up, it’s cold, dark, and raining. Mom says that he has to go outside anyway. He looks for a snack in his bowl, but it’s empty. He wants to take a nap in his favorite chair, but something is in the way. There’s a bunny invading the back yard, but no one is home to let Bandit outside. It’s a long, lonely day for Bandit, the family pet.

This picture book for children shares the story of one dog’s lonely day, and how Mom makes it better when she gets home.

Amy Konda is a special education teacher in Sioux City, Iowa. She lives with her family and her dog, Bandit. Konda loves teaching, children, reading, and running. Bandit does not love running. Bandit loves naps.
