About the Book
BeBe lives in a farm with her father Ab-El. One summer afternoon, after a rainfall, she goes outside to play with her friend Sophia—and while out she sees something that changes her life.
BeBe sees a beautiful blue macaw; inquisitive, intelligent, and colorful, he is no ordinary bird. He flies down and lands on BeBe’s hand, and there and then the pair become friends. She names the bird Levi, and they play together and love each other, but BeBe soon learns that the bird has escaped from the owner of a neighboring farm and that she will have to give up her friend. What will she do? BeBe must learn a valuable lesson about not taking things that don’t belong to her.
This story helps children of all ages understand the importance of being honest and trusting loved ones even when things go wrong.
