About the Book
When summer comes, it’s time to visit the cabin by the lake. There, the extended family arrives to be together and celebrate. From far away, relatives come to have some fun—especially Nana and Papaw, who love to give out kisses. At the cabin, there is so much to do, like swimming, fishing, and skiing. The fun never ends!
The children play games while the adults tell stories. At night, the sky is alight with stars, and the kids even get to make s’mores, sitting around the fire. It’s so peaceful at the cabin, away from the rush of school and jobs. Together, the family enjoys these moments that will one day become wonderful remembrances for both young and old.
Eventually, it’s time to go back to normal life and school … but don’t forget, the cabin will be waiting when summer comes again! In today’s world, it can be difficult for extended family to spend time together. The Cabin at the Lake shares a yearly reunion of relatives where wonderful memories are made and lifelong connections are formed.
