This is a story about me
and how I am always trying
to get to GRAMMY’S.
My name is Ava and I am three.
My family tells me I am cute as can be,
that is all fine and dandy, but PLEASE!
Can I just stay at GRAMMY’S?
My mommy knows of this request
to once in a while be GRAMMY’S guest.
I would just like to stay a night here and there,
so please Dad say you don’t care.
I need my Dad to know what it means to me,
so I will try to tell him so he will see.
I love my family equally but there is just
something special about getting to stay at
GRAMMY’S.

About the Book
Ava is three, and she wants to stay at Grammy’s house. First, though, she has to convince her dad that Grammy and Papaw’s house is the best place to be. Dad just doesn’t understand how much fun Ava has when she’s with her grandparents, but she’s quick to tell him all the reasons why Grammy’s house is a place of happiness, adventure, and care.
Staying with Grammy and Papaw is Ava’s favorite thing to do because there’s always something new to try and more love to share. She makes memories with Grammy, and even though she loves being home with Mom or Dad, there is something magical about Grammy’s house and spending time with her grandparents.
About the Author
Teresa Evans lives in Delaware, Ohio, with her husband of thirty-five years. They have two sons and have been blessed with three grandchildren. Teresa finds joy in gardening, repurposing items, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with family, friends and her beloved dogs.
