Back at home, Mom and Dad went to the bedroom to change. All of a sudden, a scream could be heard throughout the house. Eski ran over to see what the commotion was about. “Why are there dead insects on our bed?!” Mom shrieked. Eski wasn’t sure why Mom was jumping up and down in a panic. They looked delicious.

When a puppy named Eski wakes up to hear her cage at the animal shelter rattling, she is first nervous and then excited. A family has come to adopt her!
Eski is excited to meet Dad, Mom, and most of all, Emma, the little girl who is going to take care of her. She’s very happy to be going to a new home; there’s a warm bed, tasty food, and toys and people to play with. But when she meets Rex and Debo, the two cats who already live with the family, they hiss and are not glad to see her. The cats are afraid Eski will take Emma’s attention away, so they decide to play some tricks and get Mom and Dad to take the puppy away. Will Rex and Debo ever learn to get along with their new sister?
In the first installment of this children’s series, a newly adopted puppy settles in to her forever home and gets to know her new family. This exciting new series follows Eski’s journey from being a young, lovable pup to a wise, grown dog. T. M. Lee is a former finance and strategic director who worked for many years before taking a hiatus to pursue various interests. She is currently a blogger, avid traveler and the recent founder of Patte de Couture, which will sell luxury Italian-made pet goods with a portion of proceeds going to various pet and veterans charities across the nation. She happily resides with her fur babies, Rex, Debo and Eski, in Houston, Texas.
