About the Book

A land occupied in the seventeenth century by the Lenni Lenape and Unami Indian tribes would become what we know today as Riverside Park and the surrounding areas of Delran, New Jersey. From then until now, Burlington County and the people living there have seen changes both large and small—from new bridges and new buildings to redistricting and redevelopment. But for many, one thing about “The Park” has never changed—it is home.

In A Walk in the Park, author and lifelong Delran resident Harold Klingler Sr. shares the history and the story of his home—Riverside Park, New Jersey. About the Author

Harold Klingler Sr. is a poet, local historian, musician, and songwriter, and he is the music director for the Riverside string band. A WW2 veteran in the US Army Corps of Engineers and a tool and die maker by trade, Hal has worked in research for most of his life and worked in engineering research and development for the Campbell’s Soup Company. He is now retired.
