Rainforest Fairies are fearless and used to doing things on their own. So, neither Liza nor Xera hesitated in taking on this dangerous job by themselves. They knew something had to be done quickly or this new enemy would just get stronger. There was not enough time to go back to the small village and get help. The Rainforest Fairies’ strengths had always been stealth, surprise, and speed. They needed all of these qualities right now to get this job done.
They both started moving forward keeping to where the shadows were darkest and blending into whatever they touched. The battle machine guards moved around the perimeter of the factory but they never caught a glimpse of the stealthy pair. Their artificial senses were no match for the magic and skill of the fairies. Liza and Xera got to the factory walls without being detected and paused for a moment. That was when they heard the voices coming from around the corner.
“We need more wood for the fires! I order you to double the amount of trees we are chopping down by tomorrow,” said the raspy voice of Major Oilskin. “Lord Admiral Coaltus is expecting our first batch of battle machines soon. I will not disappoint him!”
“Yes, sir, as you command,” said the metallic voice of the chief battle machine.
Without having to say a word to each other Liza and Xera knew they had to follow and capture Major Oilskin. They peered around the corner from where they were standing and saw Major Oilskin walk away from the battle machine and towards an office along the side of the factory. He then walked through a door and into the office.
The lights outside the office were not bright and the fairies were able to sneak up right along the outside of the office. It was then that they noticed that there was a window up higher on the wall that was cracked open. Major Oilskin had opened it because of the oppressive heat of the rainforest. Liza and Xera knew that this window was their chance.

Oylara is a beautiful world, abundant in natural resources and home to strange and wonderful plants and animals. Fairies protect the planet from harm. They are the guardians who work to keep the planet healthy and beautiful, and now, they are needed more than ever as a new threat arrives with ill intent.
An alien race called the Pollutoids wants to take over the planet and steal all its natural resources for themselves. These evil creatures have already erected a factory in the rainforest of Oylara to build an army of battle machines. Only a pair of fearless Rainforest Fairies can act in time to stop the Pollutoid plan.
It’s a good thing Rainforest Fairies are fearless and used to doing things on their own! Brave Liza and Xera do not hesitate in taking on this dangerous job. They must stop the machines before both their rainforest home and the planet Oylara are ruined. The Rainforest Fairies of Oylara is an action adventure tale with strong female characters, a cunning and dangerous adversary, and a message about the environment for us all.

Johnathan Fontenot grew up with a love of reading and a desire to see the world outside his small hometown of Ville Platte, Louisiana. His adventurous nature led to a career as a fighter pilot in the Air Force that took him all over the world. Now retired, he shares exciting stories that inspire children the same way that he was inspired as a child. He lives in Las Vegas, Nevada.
