Hi my name is Trudel Schnoodle. My friends call me Ru. I have OCDD, Obsessive Compulsive Dog Disorder. Thats OCD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, if you are a person.
OCD is like a hiccup in your brain that causes you to have upsetting thoughts or behaviors that you feel you have to repeat over and over again. It's exhausting.
It started when I was a puppy. At first it was just one or two annoying habits. I felt like I had to count to ten before I could eat my food, or something bad might happen. My brother, Tigger, whom my parents should have named Piggy, was happy to eat my meal too!

About the Author
Jane C. Buseck is the mother of four grown children, one diagnosed with OCD at age seven. She holds a BA in psychology and a M.Ed in counseling from the University of Virginia. The beloved character, Trudel the Schnoodle, is modeled after the Busecks' real-life family dog, Ru, as is the character Tigger. The real-life inspiration and counterpart for “Trudel The Schnoodle” is Jane's daughter, Jaclyn. Jane lives in Richmond, Virginia.
