About the Author
Seymour Ubell is not an author by profession, but he should be. Not having the opportunity of a college education, his knowledge came from the School of Hard Knocks. Mr. Ubell is a self taught, unique storyteller.
He brings to the reader this passionate story about a mature American couple who adopt twin Chinese girls. Adding to the complexity of parenting adoptive children is the discovery of the actual birth mother, who by sheer coincidence becomes an integral part of the story and their family life.
His scholarship comes from the many men and women he has met in every corner of the globe. He absorbed much of his schooling from his three well-educated brothers and in particular from his wife, Marsha, of over three decades. Seymour has matured into a self-taught businessman and author. The Birth Mother, a novel, is his second book. His first, A Life of Risks Taken, a memoir, was a 5-star rated Amazon book.
Seymour has spent the past 23 years of his entrepreneurial life traveling and working in China and most of the world. He has made many Asian friends and shared in the intimacy of their lives and the history of their families. He has researched and scoured parts of Asia and the globe, adding to the authenticity of the novel.
The Author was a feminist before it was fashionable. His story delves deeply into the power of women, their intellect, their strength, and the caring they offer society.
The Birth Mother is a story you will be telling and sharing for a long time.
