About the Book
We all face changes in our lives. Sometimes they are good changes. But other changes are not so desirable.
Author Paola Alexandra’s book, Marigold Learns about Loss, is the story of how a young girl learns about the importance of friendship during a life-changing event. Alexandra uses rhyme to discuss the universal themes of loss and grief as experienced through a child’s eyes.
Besides being entertaining, Marigold Learns about Loss, the first in the Marigold series, is a teaching tool that helps young children realize change is an inevitable part of life. They will also learn the importance of family and friends in overcoming difficult situations.
About the Author
Paola Alexandra earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, classical civilization, and religion from the University of Mary Washington. She earned a law degree from the University of Richmond School of Law. She is an attorney in Virginia and vice chairperson of the Legal Affinity Group at the University of Mary Washington. Besides writing children’s books, she also enjoys writing on other topics, including politics and history.
