They climbed aboard and took their positions. Because that day they were on a mission. Parrot was the lookout; he had to stay alert. If he saw any trouble he’d wave a blue shirt. Ganew was the chef and he began to bake. Yummy cookies, pies and three-tiered cakes.
As Pirate McGee was steering the ship, he heard Parrot squawk, and then do a flip. “Parrot, what’s that you say? The gray-blue shark is headed our way?”
Ganew popped his head out to see if it was true. Sure enough, Parrot was waving a shirt, and it was blue.
Pirate McGee began to jump around and sing. And then he said the strangest thing. “Ahoy there shark. Come aboard and stay with us. Please don’t say no. I insist. You must.”

About the Book
A shark has been following Pirate McGee on his red and black wooden ship for days. Pirate McGee is certain the shark wants him for his next meal. He must somehow convince the shark it’s a bad idea.
Pirate McGee devises a plan with his quirky crew of two, a parrot and a creature called Ganew. When the crew and the shark finally meet, they fill him with tasty treats. As they talk, the pirate discovers something interesting about the shark and his intentions.

About the Author
Vicky Anglin lives with her husband, three children, cat, and dog in sunny Florida. This is Anglin’s first book.
