REFLECTIONS: ANTHOLOGY OF A GIRL GROWING UP

You would or would not know what it’s like to have a brother. Some brothers are funny, tall, strong or fast. I have a brother. A short guy compared to others, super strong, fast sprinter, an incredible swimmer. It’s funny, when I was a little squirt I wanted to have a big sister instead of a brother. I’d have those casual arguments with him, we’d get angry. But you know there’s always those bumps with your siblings.

I love my big brother, David. My own partner in crime, my own musketeer, my own sibling. I guess I didn't really appreciate time with my brother when he actually lived with us. Right when I was getting along with my brother he went away to college… but we still have the same sibling bond. I never really missed my brother as much until he was really gone.

Of course I love my big brother back then even if now I know we gave each other a hard time. I grabbed my book, my jacket and pillow. I stuffed all my necessary needs for the road. I thought about what else, the green silky jacket with orange around the inside, puffy, the air jacket. What a dream, I thought, yours came true. As I grabbed all my things I tossed in the assorted needs. I quickly flew down the stair as soon as my bags were packed. I was set for the road to New London, Connecticut. Now that I think about it I could not truly recall how many of these events I’ve attended, especially for him.
