Did you know that “Malinois” is a French name for the kind of dog I am? Oui Oui!! If I do say so myself!
My breed started in a Flemish city called Mechelen in France!
“Formidable” Grrrrrr.fffffff! That means “great” in French!

About the Book
Chloe is the friendly dog with the crooked ears. She wants to teach children about different dogs of all shapes and sizes. Chloe is a German Shepherd, and her breed started in France, which is why Chloe is so excited to share the French language with kids.
Special dogs like Chloe with her crooked ears get overlooked at animal shelters and even as rescues because people want their dogs’ ears to stand up perfectly. Chloe shows us how differences don’t matter in the slightest!
Dogs are all different but all special. Just like Chloe, it’s important for everyone to celebrate what makes them unique and use those things to connect and make new friends.
About the Author
Carl L. Jablonski spent forty years in the entertainment industry, experiencing brilliant storytelling at Clokey Productions, Walt Disney Imagineering, and the National Broadcasting Company. Now, his focus is on writing children’s stories that allow for “parent participation and interaction.” He has a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Pomona and a master’s degree from California State University Fullerton, CA, majoring in theatrical scenic design.
