About the Book
Your thumb has always been with you to comfort you as a baby. But now that you’re getting older, you need your thumb for other things, like holding books, getting dressed, tying your shoes, gripping your bike handles, eating your ice cream, crocheting, and climbing. Written as a sweet letter from a child to his or her own thumb, Dear Thumb takes a simple and logical approach to helping children move on from their thumb-sucking habit while honoring the emotions that go with it. It lovingly encourages little ones to honor the parts of their bodies and the different seasons they go through without shame.
