her eyes opened and there she was under still waters as if she had returned to the source
like a fetus in the womb swimming in the comfort of its mother
arriving at the shore she looked around and saw nothing
she reflected on unrealized desires and A Dream Deferred came to mind
this lesson she knows all too well as she excels at being able to fail
so many myths disguised as truth so much harm has been caused
step one of day one of forgiveness of self
a task more difficult than playing the hand she was dealt
she lets go of everything to be left with everything
stripped and exposed, bare and afraid
releasing all that has ever led her astray
tomorrow is not promised so from this day forward
every day will be the day that she accepts suffering no more
