About the Book
Dr. Lin Lim’s Asian American parenting journey with her complex outliers - teen daughter and son, allows her to continue to experience and reflect firsthand, on the outer boundaries of human development. This photo book shares a family’s journey through the perspective of a cognitively diverse, gifted multi-cultural child. It offers insight into the mind of a gifted, Autistic, Asian-American boy, serving as a bridge for families, parents, educators, and individuals to discuss diversity and what constitutes being human.
About the Author
Lin Lim, Ph.D., holds a doctorate in human development psychology from Boston University, with additional graduate academic certifications in mind, brain, and teaching from Johns Hopkins University and a twice-exceptional education from Bridges Graduate School of Cognitive Diversity in Education. Lim is an international speaker, founder of the non-profit Quark Collaboration Institute, associate dean and faculty at Bridges Graduate School of Cognitive Diversity in Education, and a dedicated volunteer for various education and gifted-related non-profit organizations.
