This memoir chronicles the highlights of his life beginning with his early years in Tunisia and his arrival in Paris in 1973 where he embarked on an unprecedented career path. Sharing his journey and discoveries, Kemicha tells of his experiences as an artist, lawyer, international arbitrator, farmer, author of a thousand-page doctoral thesis at the University of Paris, as a visiting scholar at Yale, and as a son, father, and grandfather.

About the Author
Dr. Fathi Kemicha studied cinema and law and obtained a diploma from Sciences Po and a doctorate in international law from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. A member of the Paris Bar, he was simultaneously an international arbitrator; litigator at the International Court of Justice, The Hague; secretary general of the Constitutional Court of Bahrain; member of the UN International Law Commission, Geneva; and chair of the World Bank Group Sanctions Board, Washington, DC.
