As the four kids sat there at the base of the tree, they became aware of the danger from the approaching storm. However, the kids were comforted in the fact that they were “in this together” and continued chatting. As they were sitting there, a bolt of lightning suddenly struck the large tree! The kids were amazed and a little scared, but they soon realized that something miraculous happened! They all felt a strange energy surging through their bodies and they knew that something special had happened.

About the Book
Our story finds 4 middle school students/soccer players, all strangers with their own unique challenges, in the woods during a strange storm. Anxiously, they all huddle together under the "safety" of a large, ancient tree. Unfortunately, or fortunately in this case, this turns out to be the exact place of the storm's lightning strike. Our characters now find themselves transformed with strange new powers that they decide to use to make a positive impact on the world.
About the Author
Siblings Morgan Kennedy and Grant Lytle have always loved stories about superheroes and tales of everyday people who gain unique abilities. Those stories revolve around how these characters must learn their new world.
