And so it came to pass, the world whimpered to an end. It had been a long time coming, so nobody should have been surprised. But still, it came as a shock. The few survivors were called the Anomalies and they roamed the wasteland searching for what they needed to survive. They were good people and they grew to believe they survived because of their goodness, maybe as people chosen to build a new world. The Anomalies held meetings to discuss things, such as what to learn from the old world, what not to carry into the new world, and what could be totally different and wonderful. The Anomalies were nomads, moving mostly on foot, sometimes on old bikes and skateboards. As there was no gasoline, all the old cars lay at the sides of the roads, relics and reminders of an antiquated economy and lost civilization. One day the Anomalies came to a bridge…
