About the Author
James Ott is a former writer and editor with McGraw-Hill publications chiefly Aviation Week. He used the nom de plume of Gabby Gargoyle for a column in the Cathedral Chimes, a publication of the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption in Covington, Kentucky. A social call with the cathedral's gargoyles and chimera on the cathedral roof inspired him to write this little book. He is the author of The Greatest Brush, a biography of the artist Frank Duveneck, a Covington native who painted the murals in the cathedral's Blessed Sacrament Chapel
