Alejandro blinked as he walked through the reinforcement camp. Everyone spent the hour congratulating him on his bravery and courage in leading the fight. Shokara chuckled with a grin as she and Ciel pulled him into a rough hug. “We’re very proud of you Astaroth. It was quite flattering to see you riding off like that! I think our warlike ways are rubbing off on you somewhat!” He hugged them back, smiling, “I have learned some things from the two of you.” Ciel smiled at him, “Would you care to join us for a pint? We brought the best stuff with us.” Shokara put a hand on Alejandro’s shoulder and smirked, “Yeah. We’d be honored if you could join us for one…, or we can switch it for tea. I know we don’t want you to lose yourself.” Alejandro then chuckled and raised a finger, “I’ll do a toast. I’ll stick with tea though.” Alavara beamed at them as she walked over. Alosrin was quickly behind her. “Make those three glasses.” She then gave Alejandro a quick kiss on the cheek and wrapped his arm around one of hers. Farah then smiled as she then raised her finger, “Five.” Shokara just chuckled, “The more the better.” She and Ciel then went to get five glasses as well as two pitchers. Handing everyone a glass, The two of them poured tea and pint for everyone. Shokara grinned as they all clinked their glasses. Ciel smiled, “To victory.” All of them clinked their glasses and chorused in a loud shout of “To Victory.”
Alavara blinked at Alosrin and Claira as the two smiled at her. “So…you two are a couple now?” Alosrin gave her a smiling nod, “Well…yes. It was kind of sudden, but our lives are constantly under threat. We thought this was the best course of action considering the circumstances. We’ve always had feelings for each other.” Alavara just nodded with a sly grin, “Heh. Seems we’re all doing that these days.” She then wagged her finger at her longtime friend. “Alright. I’ll give you a shot since I’ve known you so long, Claira, but just remember that he’s still my younger brother. The claws will come out if you hurt him.” Claira just nodded back at her, smirking, “Fair enough.” She then turned to Rai’ho and rested on her elbows, smiling, “And what say you? Technically, by Elven law and by the right of Alavara’s hand…You are of Alosrin’s clan as his brother-in-law-to-be. I want your approval as well.” Alejandro blinked and slowly nodded; he just shrugged, “I mean, it would be rather self-righteous of me to say no. I’m technically the adopted one of the bunch. I have no issue with it…so long as he is happy.” He then turned to Alosrin with an expectant look, “Are you happy?” Alosrin just chuckled, “I am.”
The party kept on and on into the night. Chief Takkak then gestured to Alejandro with a big, toothy grin. “Astaroth.” Alejandro then turned to him with a confused look, “Yes?” The Chief grinned and belched, patting his belly with a satisfied look as he lay on the ground, “Perhaps you have one last speech for us? A final word before we all charge the castle.” Alaren nodded, “Indeed Rai’ho. Regale us with some last words of courage.” Jakob nodded as he sipped his mug, “Indeed Frater! One last volley of words before we charge in the breech!” Alejandro looked over at Alavara. She just kissed him on the cheek and smiled, “Go. I do love hearing your speeches.” Alejandro gave her a nod as he kissed one of her hands, “As you wish.” She smiled after him. He then stood up and walked to the makeshift podium. He then cleared his throat before speaking, “Friends and Comrades…I want a moment of your attention.” Everyone then turned to him with a smile; Samantha and Antonio smiled at their son, and Samantha chuckled, “Look at him. Not long ago, we were changing his diapers and taking him for walks. Now he’s leading the fight for freedom.” Antonio smiled and kissed her on the cheek, “Indeed. I could not be prouder.” Rosalia smiled, “Tell us Ale!” Sebastian then grinned, “Yes tell us kid!” Alejandro smiled at his family before starting to speak. “We have come a long way. All of us.” He gestured to his family. “He then gestured to his family, “The people of the fair lands….” He gestured to Shokara and the Orcs, “The Berserkers of the Rocky Lands….” He then turned to Alavara and the Elves. “To the guardians of the forests…all for one purpose!” He then raised his tone and a fist, “To fight Lord Sevram and expel his minions back to Hell where they belong!” A lound raucous round of cheers then went around the camp. Alejandro then stared all of them down before narrowing his eyes at them, “Tomorrow…we are going to put an end to the killing! An end to the madness! We will fight tomorrow…we will fight…or by God’s Providence…we shall die trying! It does not matter our race nor our creed! For we all call this realm home! We will bring tenfold what the damned Demons brought on us! We will do so and gain victory…or we will die trying! Are you all with me?” The cheers grew even louder. Alavara, Ciel, Shokara, Alaren, Antonio and many others began shouting loudly and bolstering “Yes!” Alavara., Alosrin, Alaren, and Alaeren, as well as the rest of the Elven Warriors, inspired by the half-demon’s speech, raised their bows in the air, letting out a war cry, “Kai! Kai! Kai!” Ciel, Shokara, Takkak and Ikkak all raised their axes in the air. Their comrades followed them, “For Glory! For Death! For Honor!” The Hunters then stood up and saluted to their hearts, “Pro Humanitae! Pro Deo!”
