Once you have received your first galley, it is possible that the number of author errors (usually more than 125 galley corrections) is such that it's best for you to supply us with a revised manuscript for the book designer to reformat into a new galley. If the Re-tech is done at your request, there is a charge for the service.

Before beginning the Re-tech, you’ll decide if you prefer to retain the formatting from your original galley or if the changes need to be made to the font style, size, appearance of the chapter starts, trim size, etc. If the initial galley includes a lot of complicated formatting and making numerous text corrections would be easier than applying the formatting again, you may want to consider offering to do the text corrections (more than 125) for the Re-tech fee. Check with your book designer if you're unsure of what would make the most sense for circumstances.
