Her Deceit
Out of the bag, it has become quite clear
That she had prevaricated, and lied,
When inquired I, of him and her affair;
Me for needs, him, her heart entwined.
Stunned by learning of her double dealings,
A righteous rage denied me my senses;
My reason restrained not my fierce feelings,
Nor answered for my offing offenses.
Mine heart, fragile, couldn’t handle deception,
She’d pierced and crossed me, coldly and boldly.
Our new baby’s stirps isn’t my conception,
And I, not the man I once was—really.
Revenge, revenge now, but how could I?
With this poor angel, perhaps I should sigh.
